| Constructed by the British in the 1870s the DHR (Darjeeling Himalayan Railways) has today a heritage status. The 2 feet wide railway track winds all the up from sea level to almost 7000 feet and gets entwined with the road right thru the 80 odd kms from Siliguri to Darjeeling. I took this photo yesterday on the track of road between Darjeeling and Kurseong. Interested viewers can learn more about the DHR here (http://www.dhr.in) | ||
