| A temple from the past.. | ||

| I was stationed in Leh in 1978, and still have a vivid recollections of this decrepit monastery on a mountain top. It stood alone on a windswept hill, the broken door was ajar and except for the sullen figure of the Buddha on a stone wall which was falling apart, there was just the silence of the mountains. | ||
